Everyday we look in the mirror, whether first thing in the morning while brushing our teeth or taking another selfie to post on our social media sites. What do you see as you make eye contact with yourself these days?
Do you see an eagerness to embrace the gifts of potential joy and adventure that life will offer today? Or do you see sadness, despair...longing for something elusive to relieve you of the pain you see in your eyes? Are you finding yourself trying to convince yourself that everything is "ok"?
Maybe it is time to look yourself in the eyes, hug yourself tight by admitting the truth that everything isn't "ok". Life doesn't have to be this hard...yet, getting to a better place often requires the hard work of recognizing our need to grieve. Grieving our personal and collective losses can be daunting to say the least. Taking the time to grieve in a safe space with others also grieving may ease the the challenge of this necessary but difficult work. Doing this soul work in the context of community takes courage, safety and trust.
Is it time to trust? Join me for my upcoming Be Still & Listen retreat_Grief.
